- This rich and elegant wine is aged for at least 2 1/2 years in American and French oak barrels, and 4 years in bottle to give great length and finish. The 1995 vintage is rated 'Excellent'. Faustino has been Spain's greatest family owned bodegas since 1861. Its vineyards are located in the upper part of Rioja and enjoy the best geographical and climatic conditions: short, hard winters, land characterised by foothills, gorges and hillsides, the perfect amount of sunlight, and a high altitude of 400 to 600 metres.
