- It is bottled with about a third less carbon dioxide than most beers. This results in a fresher, more natural tasting beer. Blond in colour, Bitter & Twisted has a superb hop profile, combining the aromatic Hallertau Hersbrücker with the spicy Challenger. It’s finished by “late hopping” with Styrian Goldings which gives a sharpness like a twist of lemon. Bitter & Twisted is a sharp, blond beer with a superb, fresh hop profile. With a hint of honey, tang of grapefruit and a spicy fruitiness, not too dissimilar to lemon, this 4.2%abv beer is refreshing and strangely moreish. Bitter & Twisted’s accolades include; CAMRA’s Supreme Champion Beer of Britain 2003 and CAMRA’s Champion Beer of Scotland 2002.
